The short version. 3Squads is a free fantasy football game. Be a decent person, keep your password to yourself, do not use it for gambling, and understand that the scores come from other people's data and can be wrong. The full terms follow.
1. Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and 3Squads (“we”, “us”), the operator of 3squads.com (the “site”). By creating an account or using the site you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old. You must give a real email address that you can read, and keep it up to date. If you use the site on behalf of anyone else, you confirm you may do so.
3. Your account
- You are responsible for what happens under your account. Choose a password that is not used elsewhere and do not share it.
- One person, one account. Do not make extra accounts to get around a removal, to fill your own league, or to gain an edge.
- Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has your account.
4. What the game is
3Squads lets groups of people draft whole NFL offenses, defenses and special teams (“units”) and compete week by week. It is entertainment. We provide it free of charge.
- Scores come from real games. We work them out from third-party play-by-play data under scoring rules shown on the Scoring page. The rules and values can change, and we may correct a score, a stat, a schedule or a standing when we find a mistake, even after a week is over.
- Projections are estimates. Projections and matchup ratings are simple statistical calculations. They are not predictions, promises, or advice.
- Timing is automatic. Locks, waiver runs, trades and drafts follow the clock and the league's settings. We are not responsible for a result that follows from the rules as set, including a missed deadline.
5. No gambling, no prizes
3Squads does not take entry fees, hold money, or award prizes, and nothing on the site is an offer to wager. What people arrange between themselves outside the site is their own responsibility. You must not use the site to run, promote or take part in anything that is illegal where you or the other people involved live, and you must not use it in a way that needs a licence we do not hold.
6. Leagues and commissioners
The person who creates a league is its commissioner. They set the rules the site allows, invite or remove people before the draft, and post announcements. A commissioner is a user like you, not our representative, and we are not responsible for how they run their league or for disputes between members. If a commissioner misuses the tools, tell us and we may step in.
7. What you post
You may post team names, a profile picture, league chat messages and notes with invitations (“your content”). You keep what belongs to you. You give us permission to store it and to show it to the people it is meant for (for example, the members of your league) so that the site can work, and to make technical copies such as backups.
Your content must not:
- be unlawful, threatening, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit;
- impersonate another person or group, or mislead people about who you are;
- infringe someone else's rights, or include someone else's private information;
- be spam, advertising, or an attempt to trick people (including phishing).
We may remove content, and suspend or close accounts, that breaks these rules or that we think harms others. A commissioner can remove messages in their own league. To report something, write to [email protected].
8. How you may use the site
Do not: break or probe the site's security; overload it or use automated tools to collect its pages or data in bulk; interfere with other people's use; try to see lineups before they are meant to be visible; or use a bug to your advantage (tell us instead). Do not copy the site or sell access to it.
9. Email
We send you emails that the site needs to work: confirming your address, resetting a password, and telling you about security changes. You choose which notification emails you also want on your profile, and you can change that at any time. An invitation email is sent only when a commissioner asks us to send it.
10. Our property, and other people's
The site, its design, and the way the game works belong to us or our licensors. You may use them to play, not to copy. We do not claim any right in NFL names, logos or helmets: they belong to the National Football League and its clubs and are shown only to identify teams. See the Disclaimer and Credits.
11. Other people's data and services
The site depends on data and services we do not control, including the nflverse data and the images, email and hosting providers listed in our Privacy Policy and Credits. They may be late, wrong or unavailable, and we are not responsible for that.
12. The service as it is
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. It is still growing, and we may change, pause or end any part of it, or the whole site. We try to give notice of big changes, but we may not be able to. We do not promise it will be free of errors, always available, or that data will never be lost, so do not rely on it for anything that matters.
13. Ending your account
You can stop using the site at any time, and you can delete your account yourself from your profile (see the Privacy Policy for what that does). We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that has been unused for a long time, and we will explain why where we can. Sections that should continue after an account ends (such as 7, 10, 14 and 15) do.
14. No warranty, and limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we give no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including that the site is accurate, fit for a purpose, or uninterrupted. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for lost winnings, profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the site. Because the site is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to $100. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that cannot be limited by law.
15. If there is a problem
Write to us first at [email protected] and we will try to sort it out. If these terms conflict with a law that protects you, the law wins and the rest of these terms still apply.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters, we will say so on the site or by email. Using the site after a change means you accept it.
